Picking the perfect baby shower gift can be tough. But if you're really wanting to treat your friend to something thoughtful and unique you’ve come to the right place!

I’ve put together 10 luxury baby shower gift ideas, vetted by me- a midwife and friend to many Mummas-to-be and new Mummas who like to be a little boujee.

1. A Newborn Photography Session

Having newborn moments captured on film is a gift that parents will be able to cherish forever. Newborns can look different each day as they grow and to have professional photos of this stage will forever be a reminder of just how cute and small their baby was.

Being gifted a newborn photography session would be such a treat and the photos can be used to decorate the house or send to family and friends.

 2. MAMA Necklace

Meghan Markle wore one of these after she gave birth to her first baby all the way back in 2019. This is a super cute and thoughtful gift that is certain to make a new mum feel special and a little boujee. Of course, Meghan’s necklace was very expensive, but similar ones can be purchased for a more reasonable price. Alternatively, you could buy a necklace with the baby’s initial/birthstone on, if known.

Aurum + Grey £260.00

 3. Montessori Mobile

These mobiles  are amazing! They have been carefully curated by experts to provide the visual stimulation required by a newborn at different stages as they develop. These mobiles help babies learn how to focus their eyes and start moving them accurately without overwhelming them.

Structurally, they are simple yet very aesthetic.

 4.Prenatal, at-home Massage

Personally, I think pregnant Mummas deserve regular massages throughout their pregnancy. Whilst this is unlikely, a glorious pregnancy massage at least once would be such a lovely gift.

Massages can be amazing for reducing anxiety and stress. They can improve mood, ease insomnia and help with back and leg pain.

Whilst there are many services around the UK that will go to a home address to massage your friend there are also many spas that offer pregnancy massage.

‘Urban’ is an online treatment service that offers ‘A deeply soothing treatment for tired mums-to-be, suitable from the second trimester.’ A couple I looked after during labour and delivery actually gifted me with an Urban gift card and the service was excellent.

5. Vouchers

Whether the voucher is for Zara kids, John Lewis, UBER eats  or ‘COOK’- who actually have worked with The Positive Birth Company to create a food package for new parents, a voucher gives parents the freedom and ease to buy items they need.

A few friends of mine said food vouchers were the most practical gift they received and really took the pressure off cooking in the early days and left more time for baby cuddles.

6. Medela Freestyle™ Hands-free double electric wearable Breast Pump

These pumps are very high quality. Madella is the brand of breast pump that is widely used in NHS hospitals. The Medela Freestyle is explained to be their ‘smallest and first wearable hands-free double electric breast pump. The compact, pocket-sized pump is a separate unit, allowing our lightweight collection cups to fit discreetly inside your bra for a superior hands-free pumping experience.’

A mobile pumping unit means your friend will be able to be a 'multi-tasking queen' and have the freedom to move around whilst pumping.

Amazon usually sell these too, but these pumps are currently unavailable. Keep your eyes peeled for when they come back in stock!

7. UGG Baby Booties

There really is not much cuter than baby Ugg boots!

These are perfect to keep newborn feet snug, comfortable and looking very on trend. They are made from soft suede and lined with Premium Australian wool and are both great for winter and summer months as the material is super breathable.

 8. Biscuiteers Box

This luxury biscuit brand creates special designs perfect for baby shower gifts. They have various biscuit sets to choose from, some of which include adorable shapes such as a rocking horse and balloons.

Each set is gorgeous, take a look for yourself here

Tip: The biscuits come in a super cute tin. This can be kept and used as keepsake box for first-year memories.

9. Cashmere Blankets

Cashmere baby blankets are such a luxury baby gift! Hospitals do provide baby blankets but when parents have their own with their personal/home scent on it, wrapping their baby in their own one just feels so much more special. A cashmere blanket will undoubtedly be softer and cuter.

The White Company have some really great ones.

Personalising baby items is also a cute idea and can make presents feel extra boujee

10. Matching Outfits for Mum and Baby

One of my favourite brands for mum and baby matching fits (that ships worldwide) is ‘Nothing Fits But’. Many a new mum on the postnatal ward would be rocking matching outfits with their newborn. I think some of these lovely sets would be great as a 'heading home' outfit.

This brand sells gorgeous maternity dresses for mums and the sweetest matching baby grows and hair bows for the babies.
